Posted by alsemany, 02-09-2012, 08:24 AM
I just finish my project (Dns Call website monitoring) developed by CodeIgniter Framework https://www.dnscall.net/ I deiced to receive SMS when the website down or up but I haven't any sms gateway so easily I configure twitter application twitter.com/DnsCall to send me the error or recovery when happened , and twitter will send me the update via mobile SMS instantly the project contain an easy panel and the monitoring system will notify users for their website status changes by email and (twitter status api) if the user have I just make this project for free because I found a lot of monitoring websites make it's impossible for the young webmasters to monitor their sites I made this project to help myself first but I found it's great to share this monitoring system with All webmaster and developer who want to monitor their works Last edited by alsemany; 02-09-2012 at 08:31 AM.

hey .. I don't care about the design and I will not care about designs I love the site to be simple , and the background remind me of my old grandpa 7000 PC but I don't care about the design and the background Attached Thumbnails

The site runs ... sooo.... sloooooow.....

I would change the background first to make it look more professional. Second there are no instructions on what to do to start the monitoring your website and there are no information on where the server is located and what exactly are you monitoring (ping/http/something else)? Also if i add a domain to be monitored does it get added https://www.dnscall.net/domains? What if i don't want it to be public, can i hide it somehow? Just some questions to help you improve your product, hope this helps.

I will start by the last point and I will add this option @kpmedia ohh you may visited the site when the Cron of the monitor program ran!! it's so complex php program but I'm going to make this easier and I will disable the auto load libraries which eat the vps resource it's going to be better this week

Indeed bad design but I'm sure you can improve it. Good to see this kind of project, great work! Monetize it after 3 years.

Nice work. I like the project. I am jealous of your ambition.

spykee I will improve the design , but not now , I think it's not important for people who want to use this monitoring site to see a professional design, but I think they just love to be informed instantly when their site down and when their site up !! .. however I'm planing to make a good design after finishing some other SEO tools to be used in the site thanks for your opinion and I will improve it @rndm Thanks for your words it's great to hear that from you.

Yes, it should be improve soon. But it's not an issue right now, what matters is your concept. I really love it.

I can only echo what others have said above. The design is not good. The idea itself is good though and Good Luck with it!

5 domains per page in monitored list... kinda low

Posted by alsemany, 03-16-2012, 07:53 PM
this is just the public monitored domains list as I said above you can make your domain public !! to be shown in this list, or your domain will never be appears on this public list this sure will not be effect the monitoring of any site but just to control the privacy !! so the public list in this url https://www.dnscall.net/domains is not the user control panel you can see this image of the user control panel https://www.dnscall.net/topic/images...callchange.png

Posted by levat, 03-16-2012, 07:58 PM
I like the project, I am just suggesting that u should put more than 5 in list https://www.dnscall.net/domains

Posted by alsemany, 03-17-2012, 03:53 AM
