DNS questions

I am new to this hosting business... so if I may ask a newbie question... I intend to have my website protected by the whois privacy feature. So I will buy the domain, and sign the host. But one thing I am not sure what to do is the DNS stuff. I know a website that is using those settings: network-tools.com/default.asp?prog=trace&host=80.67.5.53 How should I proceed, after buying the domain and the host services, to do the same? Am I going to hide what webhost I am using by this method? Thanks!

You will have to use the dns that the host gives to you. If you want personalized nameservers, they have to be registered at the registrar first and point to the host's ips.

1st buy a domain name..then take the domain domain control panel as the regestrar to give the main domain cp where you can manage the dns server address also..then in the same domain controlpanal you can find the DNS making which YOU know as privacy enable In WHO is..the next if you want own dns server address you will find a option called child name servers..you can modify as your wish..your own custom dns..then.. you will find the EEP code option which is used for domain transfer this is very important..the.domain redirection..or domain forwarding this are some Main features of the domain cp which you need to have...GOOD LUCK..!!
