asia reseller

Hi I need a reseller hosting that matches the following criteria... 1. SSH 2. Fast to Asia (Malaysia / Hongkong / China ) 3. About $39.95/mo 4. WHM/CPanel (optional) thank you.

The reseller doesn't have to be in Asia. Find someone that uses Mzima bandwidth . I know someone who tested httpme.com and insiderhosting.com from Malaysia and according to him, the connection was blazing fast. Do a search on "mzima" on the boards so you can check other hosts. Start from there and ask if they allow SSH.

Qase, there is also a hosting company called uplinks.com.sg located in Singapore and has servers ,they claimed, to be located in Singapore too. might want to try contact them.

uplinks is located at Pacnet datacentre in Singapore speed internationally should be quite good.

If most of my site visitors are from China, would it matter if my host is in US or China? Does it affects anything?

Definitely in China or HK or Singapore will be faster. But cost wise US is much cheaper. Other then that, shdnt have any effect normally.

if your just hosting emails and simple sites it won't even matter if you host in the US plus it is cheaper. Though if it would be more demanding on speed, your best bet would be Hong Kong and Singapore.

So if I have a site which allows download of audio, do I need to store those audios at two locations US and China for better performance?

China will be better performance, USA will be slower.

Generally the nearer you are to the source, the faster you would be. For example our servers in Hong Kong ping as low as 40ms to Singapore. But US servers will never ever come remotely close (even for West Coast which still clocks at around 180ms to Singpaore at best) Of course pings isn't everything, and if your focus is on download speed, even a server with a higher ping can be faster download wise.

FYI, ping from HK to rest of Asia (15ms - 60ms)
